Wet Liners have been with Glisten before the brand even became itself.

They were the very first products that took off for Glisten, long before the collection grew into the colour-filled world it is today. They have followed us through launches, new formulas, thousands of graphic liner looks and more shades than we probably could have imagined at the beginning. Those little 3g and 10g pots have become one of the most recognisable parts of Glisten.

Which makes saying goodbye to them feel surprisingly emotional.

As Glisten moves towards more considered, reusable choices and adapts to new packaging regulations, we will be discontinuing the Wet Liner Pots. In their place, our single Wet Liners will be moving into new cardboard single-pan palettes, allowing us to take the product everyone knows and loves into its next chapter with packaging designed for the direction Glisten is heading.

The Wet Liners themselves are not going anywhere. But the pots that have housed them from the beginning are, and it felt only right to have a proper send-off.

So, before we do, we asked Natalie to choose the shades she loves the most.

Waves

It would be difficult to make a list of Glisten favourites without a duochrome somewhere near the top.

Waves (Duochrome Blue) Wet Liner® - Eyeliner - Glisten Cosmetics

Waves is a vivid blue duochrome with the kind of colour shift that makes a simple liner shape look much more complicated than it actually is. Exactly the kind of shade that captures what Wet Liners have always been about: taking eyeliner somewhere more interesting.

Orangeade

There is nothing restrained about Orangeade, and that is precisely its appeal.

Orangeade (UV Orange) Wet Liner® - Eyeliner - Glisten Cosmetics

A UV neon orange, it is almost offensively bright in the best possible way. In daylight, it gives a look an immediate burst of saturated colour; under UV light, it becomes something else entirely.

Milk

Sometimes the most useful shade is also the simplest.

Milk (White Matte) Wet Liner® - Eyeliner - Glisten Cosmetics

Milk, our white Wet Liner, has been one of those essential colours capable of becoming almost anything. A crisp white wing. Tiny stars. Florals. Graphic accents. The finishing details beside a brighter colour.

White liner has this strange ability to make every shade around it feel even more vivid, which is perhaps why Milk has remained such a staple.

Cola

At the opposite end sits Cola, our black Wet Liner.

Cola (Black Matte) Wet Liner® - Eyeliner - Glisten Cosmetics

Black might sound the most conventional amongst a collection known for neon, shimmer and duochrome, but there is a reason it remains indispensable. Cola gives structure to colour. It sharpens a graphic look, creates contrast against pastels and can turn the smallest detail into something much more dramatic.

Pool Party

Pool Party is a deep shimmer teal that feels like colour seen underwater.

Pool Party (Shimmer Blue) Wet Liner® - Eyeliner - Glisten Cosmetics

There is a richness to it – darker and moodier than the brighter aquas in the Wet Liner collection – but the shimmer stops it from ever feeling heavy. Instead, it catches the light with flashes of blue-green that give it real depth.

Grapevine

Why choose one purple when you can have two?

Grapevine (UV Purple) Split Liner - Eyeliner - Glisten Cosmetics

Grapevine pairs a UV neon purple with UV lilac in a Split Liner, creating everything from individual shades to gradients and blended combinations depending on where you take your brush.

Split Liners have always embodied one of the most enjoyable parts of Glisten: the freedom to play. There is no single way the colour has to look. Dip into one side, mix the two together, or pull booths shades through the brush at once and see what happens.

Sweetie

Sweetie is a pink-to-green shifting duochrome, and perhaps one of the best examples of why a colour can never be fully understood while sitting still.

Sweetie (Duochrome Pink) Wet Liner® - Eyeliner - Glisten Cosmetics

At one angle, there is pink. Then the light changes and green appears. Move again, and the colour seems to sit somewhere between the two. It is playful and slightly strange, which is exactly why it is loved. Sweetie does not give you one colour; it gives you the moment of watching colour change.

Moss

And finally, Moss

Moss (Shimmer Green) Wet Liner® - Eyeliner - Glisten Cosmetics

A shimmering khaki green, Moss sits in a completely different corner of the Glisten colour spectrum. It is earthy, smokey and muted, but still catches the light enough to stop becoming too understated.

If you happen to have one of those little Wet Liner pots sitting somewhere in your makeup collection, maybe hold onto it. You are keeping a small piece of Glisten history.
