The Ghana Beauty School Liner: Meaningful Makeup
Some beauty products are designed to be worn. Others carry a purpose beyond the mirror. They invite us to think about where beauty can lead, what it can support, and how creativity, at its best, can become something generous. The new Many Hopes x Glisten Cosmetics Beauty School Liner belongs firmly to the latter.
Inspired by the colours of the Ghanaian flag, this new wet liner palette is bright, glistening, and impossible to ignore. But what makes it truly special is not just its finish, though that metallic shine is undeniably beautiful. It is the story behind it: one built on collaboration, care, and the belief that makeup can do more than transform a look. It can help transform a life.
From the very beginning, this project was about creating something meaningful together. We contacted the Many Hopes School in Ghana because we wanted this release to be rooted in real collaboration, not simply inspired from afar. The girls at the school were heavily involved in choosing the colours and shaping the overall design of the palette. They love the Ghanaian flag, but wanted to give it a metallic finish because they were obsessed with the way it shines. We were too, and it quickly became clear that this sense of radiance had to be part of the final piece. The result is a palette that feels celebratory, proud, and full of life. We have a liner that glows with intention as much as colour.
The beauty of this palette is only one part of why it matters. 100% of profits from the Beauty School Liner will be donated directly to Many Hopes, helping support girls in Ghana to gain the qualifications, skills, and stability they deserve. Every look created with it becomes part of something larger. Every line of colour contributes to opportunity. Every shade worn helps fund a future.
The Many Hopes Beauty School is far more than a cosmetology school. It exists for girls rescued from trafficking and slavery, offering not just education, but safety, dignity, and the chance to rebuild life on new terms. All the girls live on campus, where they are protected and surrounded by community. Alongside cosmetology training, they review daily counselling, financial literacy education, and practical support such as help setting up a bank account. For those with babies as a result of trafficking, there is also an on-site nursery – so while mothers are learning, their children are learning too.
It is an extraordinary model of care because it understands that empowerment is never only one thing. It is skill, yes, but also security, healing, independence, and the ability to imagine a future beyond survival. Many Hopes support these girls not only in becoming qualified, but in stepping into lives with more choice, stability, and freedom. Most graduates go on to become the highest earners in their families, changing not only their own futures, but those of the generations that follow.
Still, though, artistry remains at the heart of this palette. This is Glisten, after all. The Beauty School Liner is made with signature Wet Liner formula and designed for bold, high-impact looks. The metallic Ghana-flag-inspired shades are vivid, striking, and full of energy – the kind of colours that feel joyful the moment they touch the skin. It is a palette that invites experimentation, play, and pride. It also asks something more meaningful of beauty lovers: to see makeup not only as adornment, but as action.
The palette is beautiful because it was created with the girls, not simply for them. Its colours are luminous because they were chosen by people who wanted that shine. Its purpose is real because every purchase goes directly back to the school, helping keep girls safe, learning, and building futures of their own.
Make your makeup count, because with this palette, every shade you wear funds a future.
