It is a moment to honour the incredible trans people who continue to shape art, beauty, culture, and community, often while navigating a world that does not always offer them the visibility, safety, or respect they deserve.
As a brand, we know makeup can be playful, expressive and transformative, but none of that matters without community. We are endlessly grateful to the trans creators who inspire us, challenge beauty norms, and remind us that self-expression is powerful. Today, and always, we want to make it clear: we see you, we support you, and we are thankful for everything you bring to this community.
Why it's important:
International Transgender Day of Visibility is important because visibility saves lives. It creates space for trans people to be celebrated, not just defended. It reminds people that trans lives are not a debate, a trend, or a talking point; they are real, valuable, joyful, creative, and deeply important.
For us at Glisten, this day is also about gratitude. So much of what makes the beauty space exciting, boundary-pushing, and alive comes from trans artistry. Trans creators continue to redefine what makeup can be: not just a routine, but a world-building tool, a statement, a performance, a softness, a protest, a fantasy.
We also know that visibility alone is not enough. Visibility must be met with respect, safety, advocacy, and consistent support. So while today is a celebration, it is also a reminder to listen to trans voices, protect trans rights, and make space for trans people not only to exist, but to thrive.
How we support:
Supporting the trans community at Glisten is not something we believe should begin and end with a single awareness day. It has to be ongoing, intentional, and backed up with action. That’s why 100% of the profits from our Trans Liners go directly to Not A Phase, a trans-led charity committed to uplifting and supporting trans adults through community-led projects, awareness, and vital practical support. For us, support means more than celebration — it means putting real funding behind the people and organisations doing the work.
