Lindsey Rowley x Influencer of the Month

We're bringing back Influencer of the Month, and who better to start with than Lindsey Rowley, better known as @linsmakeuplooks on Instagram and TikTok. Creating high energy, lighthearted videos, we are completely obsessed with Lindsey's content. If you aren't already, you definitely need to drop her a follow!

We asked Lindsey a series of questions so you guys can get to know her a bit better and learn about the Glisten products she LOVES, along with any makeup tips and tricks. Thank you Lindsey for taking the time to answer our questions. We love this interview and hope you do too, ENJOY!!💖

1. What do you want the world to know about you?

I want the world to know that I'm weird, and I love it. Nothing makes me happier than helping other people feel good about being different. 💞

2. What would you say is your spirit animal?

This might not be the most creative answer, but I truly think my spirit animal would be a dog!! 

I try super hard to be optimistic, I love to love, and I'm food motivated. 😀

3. We love your one-liners like ‘minimum effort, maximum slay’. Do you have any other one liners we can add to our vocabulary?

Hahahahaaha! I say little lines like this to motivate myself all the time, and I love that they have become a big part of my community now. 

Heres a couple huge ones that may as well be etched into my grave:

"Don't think, just do."

And, of course:

"YOU DON'T LOOK WEIRD WITH EYESHADOW UNDER YOUR EYE, YOU'RE JUST NOT USED TO IT. "

Maybe that's not a one-liner, but it's obligatory now. 🤣

4. What inspires you as a content creator?

A broad answer to this question?

People telling me that I have inspired them to embrace being weird is what really motivates me to keep going and never hold back. My community is truly my biggest inspiration to do what I do every day! ❤️

In a literal sense? 

I personally think that coming up with new ideas is one of the hardest parts of being a creator. The balance between following trends while also being original can be super hard to find!!

I get inspiration from a few things. Firstly, of course, consuming content!! I like to make a mental note of what videos really excite ME, so I can translate those elements into my own content. 

I also love getting inspiration from what's in the world around me. Maybe not in the most poetic way, like artists painting beautiful landscapes. But in silly ways, like matching my makeup to weird earrings, squishmallows, terrible outfits, etc. Look around your room, and you can take inspiration from anything if you really think about it!! 

5. What are your top makeup tips?

Don't think, just do. 

I think the secret to being "good" at makeup, is to have fun with what you do. There's a HUGE difference in how my makeup looks on days that I'm excited to do a look, vs days where I have to drag myself out of bed. 

DO WHAT YOU WANT!! If you want to put little doodles on your eye, DO IT! I promise you, hype you get from cool people will FAR outweigh any negative comments. 

Just like anything else, practice makes perfect! So if you want to start, don't think, just do!

6. What’s your go to coffee order? 

I'm not a HUGE coffee person, but I get it all the time when I feel like I can't stay awake. And I always end up regretting it, because I get horrible caffeine induced anxiety (and then I do it again anyway LOL)

This time of year, I love pumpkin spice. Otherwise, just a good ol caramel iced coffee with cream and sugar!!

7. What are your favourite Glisten products?

 I have quite a few that I constantly reach for. Here's a whole list 🤣

-Liner brushes

-Spectra Paints

-Spectra Lash mascaras

-Juicy Tints

-Shape Shifter palette

I mean.... I truly don't think I've ever experienced Glisten being a flop. That's why I use these things on a daily basis!! 💞

8. What’s a Glisten product you can’t live without?

This is a mean question 🤣 If i absolutely HAD to pick.... I would, of course, say wet liners. Wet liners are the heart and soul of almost all of my fun looks. They're one of the main tools that have helped me build my community!!! 🥹 

9. A non-Glisten product you can’t live without?

Blend Bunny Cosmetics eyeshadows are SO AMAZING, and pair absolutely perfectly with Glisten wet liners!! My favorite Blend Bunny palette is Blends. That palette + my custom wet liner palette = INFINITE looks. 

10. Do you have any secret talents?

I can fold my ear into itself. I know, super impressive. 😎
